The Mean Girls Book Tag

Thank you Ishita @bookmyopia for tagging me!

Q1)Which fictional character’s name did you get completely wrong?

A1) Loaghaire in Outlander. I thought it was pronounced La-geer-uh. It wasn’t until I listened to the audiobook that I realized I’d gotten it completely wrong. (A lot of Outlander fans call her ‘Leg Hair’. LOL!)

Q2) Which character would you like to place in a fictional world from another book or series?

A2) Hmm. I’m going to go with Doctor Who (10th Doctor) on this one. He’s a Time Lord, and can go anywhere in space and time, so it would be feasible for him to turn up in odd places, right? (And I’m not cheating… there are several Doctor Who books out there.)

Q 3) Repetition. Repetition. Which book gave you deja-vu of another book whilst reading it?

A3) A lot of the zombie apocalypse books are pretty similar, particularly if they are short story collections.

Q4) Which book gave you the complete opposite of girl power feels?

A4) I don’t think about things like ‘girl power’ when I’m reading, so I have no answer for this one.

Q5) Name a character you felt like you wanted to cheer on whilst reading.

A5) Jamie and Claire Fraser from the Outlander series.

Q6) How long do you typically spend at a book shop?

A6) I can easily stay a couple of hours (or three, or four). There’s so much to look at, how can I possibly leave after a short time?

Q7)Which character would have to get out a restraining order on you, if they were real?

A7) No one. After all, there was no such thing as restraining orders in 18th century Scotland… therefore I wouldn’t have to worry about Jamie Fraser doing such a thing. 😉

Q8) Which over-hyped book were you cautious about reading?

A8) The Hunger Games. I’d heard so much about it, it turned me against wanting to read it. The only reason I did finally read it is because my son asked me to. And I’m glad he did, because I loved it.

Q9) We all love Regina George. Name a villain you just love to hate.

A9) Crowley from Supernatural.

Q10) Your favorite fictional parent?

A10) Going to have to go with Jamie and Claire on this one, too. Both are willing to sacrifice anything for the good of their children, and later, their grandchildren.

Q11) Which book or series would you love to catch on?

A11) Pretty much any book/series I love… if I love it, I want EVERYONE to read it.

Q12) Describe your ideal character to read about.

A12) They simply need to be interesting. I don’t really have an ideal character type.

Q13) What do you do when a book gives you a bad case of ‘the feels’?

A13) Keep it… because that’s a book worth reading again!

Q14) Which characters one liners would you love to claim for your own?

A14) I can’t think of any right now.

Q15) Name a character’s decision that made you roll your eyes.

A15) I was reading a Danielle Steel novel once, about a woman going through cancer treatments while in the process of divorcing her husband. She meets someone else who truly cares about her, helps her through the worst of her chemo treatments, etc… and after everything, she ends up reconciling with her husband! I got so disgusted I threw the book across the room. LOL
