Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Kathy @Bermuda Onion. All you have to do is share new words that you’ve encountered while reading or spotlighting words you love.
Being reminded that English isn’t the first language for at least one person that follows my blog, I’ve decided to change the way I originally intended to do this meme. Rather than type out the word and its definition, I’ll restrict myself to embedding Facebook posts (like I did for some of the words last time), or share a screenshot of the word and it definition. This way, I’ll be able to include the pronunication of the word, as well. (I tried to figure out a way to type it in, but—pronunciations being formatted the way they are—it seems it isn’t possible for it to be displayed accurately on my blog.
Today’s Wondrous Words are brought to you via Dictionary.com. The first two are words I discovered on the site. The last is a word I’ve always liked.

You remembered! 😊 Loved this style, it was better and I could read that with pronunciations. I never heard those words. Great post! 💕

I did! 🙂 I’m happy that I could do it this way, and make things a little easier for you. It helped me, too–I discovered that dictionary.com has some really excellent words/definitions up on their site. I’ve collected a lot of screenshots for future Wondrous Words Wednesdays, and I can’t wait to share them.
